Coming Soon: Café Bleriot

I’m pretty sure this is coming soon anyway.  As you can see in the photo there is evident of construction (see drill, paint can) as well as the nicely gilded window signage.  It was also confirmed by a phone call, although if the person on the other end of the line understood me as much as I understood him… you’ll just have to take the below with a grain of salt.

This space is the Ditra Gallery Fine Art Gallery, and they represent Georgi Dimov, an artist that lives in Florida.  When I called the listed number, the gentleman told me that they are still open as a gallery, and they hope the café will be open ‘as soon as possible.’  Googling the name Bleriot really only yielded 2 results: the Wikipedia page for Louis Blériot, the French aviator, inventor and engineer, and the webpage for Bleriot Café which is in TK"Tsentralnyy."  (I am not ashamed to admit I have never heard of it).  Anyway, the logo is notably different though, so I think it is unlikely to be the same place (in opposition to Bigogi).

I am planning to visit a few of the UES independent cafes and coffee shops, and will include this on the list when it opens.
